The Social Accounts Working Group invites members to an informal breakfast meeting — a chance to connect, share updates, and explore collaboration in a relaxed setting. The Social Accounts Working Group was established by the Global Ocean Accounts Partnership (GOAP) in 2024 to ensure that social, cultural and equity considerations are recognised and accounted for in ocean accounting and decision-making about ocean and coastal development. The Working Group provides a structure for diverse individuals, including practitioners, researchers, statisticians, and policymakers to come together and collaborate on measuring the human dimensions of ocean sustainability. The gathering on the margins of OOC11 will provide an opportunity for members to:
• Strengthen professional relationships across members and organizations
• Exchange updates on relevant research, policy, and data initiatives
• Identify potential areas for collaboration

If your organization is interested in attending or supporting this event, please reach out to WG Co-organizing Committee member Rachel Thoms (rachel.thoms@wri.org) or GOAP Social Accounts Lead Rebecca Shellock (r.shellock@unsw.edu.au).
